Website + Command Center · for our sister company

The website we built for our sister company.

1st Preferred Technologies is the IT department for businesses across Virginia and the surrounding states, and WIIWID's sister company. We designed and built 1stptllc.com: a product-style page for every practice, demos visitors can actually play with, and a Command Center that runs pages, leads, SEO and analytics from one screen.

The website

Command Center

Real screenshots of the live site. Command Center screens show simulated test traffic and a test lead.

01What visitors get

Your IT department first. Then everything else.

The site leads with the flagship Your IT Department page and treats every practice like a product: a headline, an animated scene, a demo you can try, then the details.

Your IT department, first

The home page and the flagship Your IT Department page lead: help desk, on-site engineering, security, backups, IT planning & budgets and a virtual CIO. The other practices follow in the Services menu.

The IT health check

Eight questions, answered yes, not sure or no. A live score, a grade and the top three fixes, each linking to the service that fixes it. It runs in the browser; nothing is sent.

Service pages built like product pages

A three-line headline beside an animated isometric scene made for that service, then a hands-on demo, a stats strip, feature cards, a showcase with a dashboard mockup, packages, a callout panel, FAQ and a closing call to action.

Pure SVG scenes, no JS

Demos you can play with

Type your business name and hear your auto attendant, then send a test call down the call-flow designer. Pick a person and a time, tap doors, trigger lockdown and read the audit log. Drag a slider and watch a server closet become a cluster.

A living background

Fine graphite contour lines drift like a topographic map, with a red shockwave wherever you click or tap. It adapts its resolution to hold 60fps, pauses in background tabs and renders one still frame for people with Reduce Motion on.

A vintage badge logo

“1ST PREFERRED” over the top, “TECHNOLOGIES” along the bottom, red stars, a beaded ring and a center quartered red and white: a computer, a security camera, “www.” and a speaker, one practice per quarter. Pure vector paths, built by a script.

Seven isometric scenes from 1stptllc.com: servers under a shield, a four-step planning staircase, a cloud phone system ringing desks, a door reader and cameras, an exploded web, app and data stack, an HA cluster replicating to the cloud, and a whole business on one board
Each practice area has its own animated scene. Racks and desks under a shield, the Assess → Plan → Build → Manage staircase, a cloud phone system, a door reader and sweeping cameras, an exploded web / app / data stack, an HA cluster, and the home page's whole business on one board, each with its callout tags.
02Command Center

The admin that runs the whole site.

Built into the site at /admin: pages, feature pages, leads, SEO and first-party analytics. A new page is live within seconds, in the sitemap, and pinged to IndexNow.

Command Center

Who's on the site right now, then visitors, page views, engaged time, bounce and leads with the change vs the previous period, a 30-day trend, recent leads, top pages and sources, phone / email / button / WIIWID clicks, SEO health and busiest hours.

Leads

An inbox with a status for every lead, from new to contacted, quoted and won or lost, private notes, and each visitor's source, campaign, landing page, city and full click-path. CSV export and optional email alerts.

One button starts a product-style service page exactly like the VoIP page: pick the hero's scene, choose the interactive demo, edit the stats, cards, packages and FAQ. It goes straight into the Services menu with Service schema. Or start an app / project showcase under /work/. Headlines take a new line per line of text and *asterisks* for red words.

The page editor: a list of blocks on the left (hero, interactive demo, stats, cards, showcase points, pricing, callout panel, process steps) beside a live preview of the VoIP page
The page editor: blocks on the left, the live preview on the right. Click a section in the preview to jump to it.
The Analytics page: visitors, new visitors, visits, page views, pages per visit, engaged time, bounce rate and leads, a 30-day chart, who is on the site right now, and a per-page table
Analytics: everything the site can know about who visits, first-party and cookieless, with no IP addresses stored.

And the rest of the admin

The same pages, one column.

The three-line headlines keep their red line, the scenes sit under the copy, and the mobile menu carries the Services list. The contact form pre-selects a service from the link that brought you there.

Under the hood
  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS v4
  • Postgres on Supabase
  • PGlite for local dev
  • Vercel
  • Resend
  • lucide-react
  • Sora & Inter, self-hosted

Pages are statically generated, cached for five minutes and refreshed the moment one is saved. With no database URL the site boots an embedded Postgres (PGlite) for local work; in production it runs on Postgres at Supabase behind Vercel, with Resend for lead emails. Fonts are self-hosted, security headers are on, preview deployments are never indexed, and a launch switch hides the whole site while it is being worked on.
