Website + back office · by WIIWID

A purple trailer full of books, and the website that runs it.

Brianna and Ashley are a mother and daughter filling a purple trailer with books they love and bringing it wherever readers gather. WIIWID built them a storefront with as much personality as the trailer, plus Bookends HQ: a back office that runs the whole shop from a phone at the trailer or a laptop at home.

The website

Bookends HQ

Recreated in HTML from the live site. Bookends HQ screens show sample data.

I.For readers

Browse from the couch. Pick it up at the trailer.

The site carries the trailer's personality onto every page: handwritten notes, a Date Due card for the schedule, reader's cards for the owners, and cloth-bound covers for books still waiting on their photo.

“If there are readers, we'll pull up, open the doors, and let them browse.”

Brianna & Ashley

Every stop they add in Bookends HQ lands on the site's next-stop ticket and Date Due card, with directions and a calendar feed. Readers can also book the trailer for their own event:

  • School or library event
  • Birthday party
  • Bridal or baby shower
  • Book club night
  • Market or festival
  • Fundraiser

III.Bookends HQ

The back office that runs the whole shop.

Everything Brianna and Ashley need, from a phone at the trailer or a laptop at home: ring up a sale, scan in a box of books, flip the trailer to “Open now,” and let a reader know their hold is ready.

IV.Meet the bookends

Every shelf needs two bookends. Theirs are a mom and her daughter.
