Plain answers about what we collect on wiiwid.com, why we collect it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Last updated What It Is? What It Do? LLC

The short version

What It Is? What It Do? LLC (“WIIWID”, “we”, “us”) runs www.wiiwid.com. This page explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and what you can do about it.

We collect what we need to answer you, do the work you hired us for, and take payment — and not much else. We don’t sell your information, we don’t run advertising trackers, and card numbers never touch our servers.

What we collect, feature by feature

Contact form

When you send us a message we keep your name, email address, your company and budget (both optional), and the message itself. We use it to reply and to scope the project you asked about. It’s stored in our database and may also be emailed to us so we can answer quickly.

Payments: invoices, payment links, plans and domains

Checkout happens on Stripe’s secure pages, not ours. Once a payment goes through we record your name, email, what you bought, the amount and currency, the payment status, and Stripe’s reference numbers for the session, payment and (for plans) the subscription. For a domain purchase Stripe also asks for a phone number so we can reach you to complete the transfer. We never see or store your full card number.

Subscriptions

For a monthly or yearly plan we also keep the plan name, the billing interval, the current renewal date, the subscription status, and any cancellation date — the details needed to run the plan you chose.

Client portal

If we set you up in the client portal we store your name, email and the access code we issue you, plus the files you upload for your project. Files are kept in private storage and are used only to do the work.

Site analytics (our own, no third-party trackers)

We run a small first-party page-view counter so we can see which pages people find useful. For each page view it records:

  • the page path and the site that referred you, if your browser sends one;
  • your country and city as estimated by our hosting provider from your connection — we don’t store your IP address;
  • whether you’re on a phone, tablet or desktop, worked out from your browser’s user-agent string (the string itself isn’t kept);
  • how long the page stayed open.

To tell repeat visits apart it stores a random visitor id in your browser’s local storage and a random session id in session storage. They’re random strings — they aren’t linked to your name or email, and clearing your browser’s site data resets them. The counter doesn’t run on our admin pages.

Blog

Reading the blog needs no account and collects nothing beyond the page-view analytics above.

Email signature generator

The signature tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to or stored by us; you copy the finished signature straight into your email client.

ScriptureMate voice previews

The sample clips on the ScriptureMate page are generated once on our servers from a fixed verse and then saved for every later visitor. Nothing about you is sent to the voice service — pressing play is an ordinary request for an audio file.

Security and server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, time and the page requested) for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. We also use your IP address briefly, in memory only, to slow down abusive bursts of requests; it isn’t written to our database.

Why we use it

In plain words, we use your information to:

  • do what you asked — reply to your message, deliver the work, run your plan, transfer your domain and take payment (lawyers call this “performing a contract”);
  • run the business sensibly — understand how the site is used, keep it secure, and prevent fraud and abuse (our “legitimate interests”);
  • meet our legal duties — keep the tax and accounting records the law requires;
  • do anything else you’ve agreed to — and only for as long as you agree.

We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use it for advertising. We only email you about things you’ve asked for: replies, receipts and project updates.

How long we keep it

  • Contact messages — for as long as the conversation is live and a reasonable time after, so we can pick it back up. Ask and we’ll delete them sooner.
  • Payment and invoice records — for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically 7 years.
  • Portal accounts and files — for the life of the project and a reasonable time after delivery, or sooner on request.
  • Page-view analytics — only as long as they’re useful for understanding how the site is used. They contain no name or email.

Who we share it with

We use a handful of services to run the site. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy:

  • Vercel — hosts the site and its edge network. It handles every request and provides the country and city estimate used in our analytics.
  • Supabase — our database and file storage. Contact messages, payment records, portal accounts and uploaded files live here.
  • Stripe — processes every payment. Stripe receives your name, email, card details and billing information (and a phone number for domain purchases); we receive back the summary described above, never the card number.
  • Resend — sends our transactional email, such as receipts, replies and portal notices. It receives your email address and the message.
  • Replicate — produces the estimated values shown on our domain listings. It receives domain names only, never anything about visitors.
  • fal.ai — generates the ScriptureMate voice previews from a fixed verse. It receives no visitor data.

Beyond that, we’ll share information only if the law requires it, to protect the site and the people who use it, or if the business is ever sold or merged (in which case this policy still applies to it).

Cookies and local storage

We keep cookies to a minimum:

  • Admin session cookie — set only for our own staff when they sign in to the admin area.
  • Client-portal session cookie — set after you enter your access code so you stay signed in to your project.
  • Stripe’s cookies — set by Stripe on its own checkout pages to keep payment secure.

Our analytics uses your browser’s local storage and session storage (see above), not cookies. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere on the site. You can clear or block any of this in your browser settings; the site keeps working, though you’d need to sign in to the portal again.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Just email support@wiiwid.com from the address you used with us and tell us what you’d like. We’ll confirm what we found and what we did.

  • Delete my data — we’ll remove your contact messages, your portal account and the files in it. Payment records may need to stay for tax and accounting reasons, but we’ll limit their use to that.
  • Analytics — the ids are random and not linked to you, so there’s nothing for us to look up. Clearing your browser’s site data for wiiwid.com resets them.
  • Email — we don’t send newsletters or marketing email. If you ever get mail from us you don’t want, reply and say so.
  • Subscriptions — cancel any time through the manage link in your receipt or by emailing us. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If you live somewhere with specific privacy laws (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have additional rights such as data portability or the right to object. Email us and we’ll honor them as the law requires. We don’t discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights.

How we protect it

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Database keys stay on the server and never reach the browser. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Sign-in cookies are signed so they can’t be forged, and access to the admin area and client files is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, though — if you think you’ve found a problem, please tell us at support@wiiwid.com.

Children

The site is for businesses and adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. For anything significant we’ll also say so plainly here, and where we have your email and the change matters to you, we’ll let you know directly.
