Refunds
Refund & Cancellation Policy
What happens with your money if you change your mind, cancel a plan, or a domain can’t be transferred. No fine print, just the rules.
Last updated What It Is? What It Do? LLC
The short version
- One-off invoices: work that’s already been delivered isn’t refundable. Work we haven’t started is refundable in full within 14 days of payment.
- Plans: cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for; there are no prorated refunds for the unused part.
- Domains: if we can’t transfer a domain to you within 10 days of payment, you get a full refund. Once it has been transferred, the sale is final.
- Refunds go back to the original card and usually show up within 5–10 business days.
This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service. If your project has its own written agreement with different refund terms, that agreement applies to the project.
One-off invoices and payment links
These are the payments for a specific piece of work: a deposit, a milestone, a final invoice, or a one-off payment link we send you.
- Work already delivered is non-refundable. Once we’ve done the work and handed it over, the payment for it is earned.
- Unstarted work is refundable in full if you ask within 14 days of payment and we haven’t begun it yet.
- Work that’s partly done — we’ll talk it through and refund fairly for the part we haven’t started, in line with your project agreement.
- Deposits follow the terms in your proposal. If the proposal doesn’t say, the rules above apply.
Monthly and yearly plans
- Cancel any time. Use the manage link in your receipt or on the plans page, or email support@wiiwid.com from the address on the account.
- Access continues to the end of the paid period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn’t cut off what you’ve already paid for.
- No prorated refunds for the unused part of a month or year. Yearly plans are priced as a year, so the same applies.
- Renewed by accident? If a renewal goes through right after you tried to cancel, tell us straight away and we’ll put it right.
Domain purchases
- Full refund if we can’t transfer it. If a domain you’ve bought through instant checkout hasn’t been transferred to you within 10 days of your payment, for any reason on our side, we refund the full amount.
- Once transferred, the sale is final. After the domain is in your registrar account, it’s yours and the purchase can’t be reversed.
- Delays on your side — for example if you haven’t set up a registrar account or accepted the transfer — don’t count against the 10 days. We’ll keep helping until it’s done.
- Failed or expired checkouts are never charged, and the domain simply goes back on the market.
- Escrow and marketplace sales (names without instant checkout) follow the refund rules of the escrow service or marketplace that handles them.
Duplicate or mistaken charges
If you were charged twice for the same thing, or charged an amount you didn’t agree to, tell us and we’ll refund it in full, no questions asked.
How to request a refund
Email support@wiiwid.com with:
- your Stripe receipt (or the receipt number and the email you paid with);
- what the payment was for;
- a sentence or two on why you’d like a refund.
We reply to refund requests within 1–2 business days, and we’ll tell you clearly what we can do.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds are issued through Stripe back to the card you paid with. We can’t send a refund to a different card or account.
- They usually appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- If the original card has since been closed, banks normally route the refund to the replacement account. If it doesn’t show up, your bank can trace it with the refund reference we give you.
A note on chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks to resolve and freezes the money on both sides, while an email to us is usually sorted within a couple of days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. Changes don’t apply retroactively to a payment you’ve already made.
